The Learning Alliance on Domestic Violence was designed and moderated led by Fundar (Mexico) and CEGENSA (Ghana), and and was based on established research and on new regional and comparative research that the two research centres undertook for the ELLA programme. The Learning Alliance examined how to improve protection services for the survivors of domestic violence. It located violence against women as a public issue, and identified and assessed existing protection services for survivors of domestic violence – based on a comparison of cases from Latin America and Africa – and strategised on ways to improve policies and practices. The learning phase of the Domestic Violence Learning Alliance Learning Alliance was run during 2016 LEAs and it now is closed to new members. Existing members can continue to log in for networking purposes.
