Oil and Gas Local Content
The Oil and Gas Local Content Learning Alliance was designed led by Grupo Faro (Ecuador) and ACODE (Uganda) and was based on established research and on new regional and comparative research that the two research centres undertook for the ELLA programme. The Alliance examined policies aimed at boosting the benefits from the oil and gas sector through Local Content. Comparing the cases of oil and gas rich countries from across Latin America and Africa, it analysed the dimensions of, and outcomes from, Local Content policies, and the variables that influence the likely success of such policies. The learning phase of the Oil and Gas Local Content Learning Alliance was run during 2016 LEAs and it is now closed to new members. Existing members can continue to log in for networking purposes.
